Application period: from 6 July 2026 to 2 October 2026

How to apply: Fill in your application form and send it via email to the relevant section of the University Academic Services.

Payments:

Hiatus of only one academic year (2025-2026) – late enrolment

• university fees for academic year 2025-2026 and a fee for late payment
• if you do not graduate by March 2027, you will have to pay university fees for academic year 2024-2025 as well

Hiatus of two or more academic years

• any fees still pending (e.g. second instalment)
• hiatus fee for each academic year of hiatus
• university fees for academic year 2026-2027 if you do not intend to take exams and/or graduate in the sessions of academic year 2025-2026.

      However, if you intend to graduate by March-April 2027 you will have to pay:

• university fees for academic year 2025-2026 and a fee for late payment instead of the hiatus fee
• in case of a hiatus of only two years, also university fees for academic year 2024-2025 and a fee for late payment

Hiatus due to serious and prolonged illness

• See Article 5(3) of the fee notice

Fees due will be charged in the online Student Academic Services (Esse3) after submission of your application.
If you requested your specific equivalent economic situation indicator (ISEE Università) by the relevant deadline, it will be taken into consideration for any exemption or reduction of your university fees for any full academic year that you have to pay.

Please note: when you resume your studies, your previous academic studies may need to be evaluated. The evaluation may involve adapting your study programme to current regulations, transfer to another degree programme or assessing the academic currency of your previous studies.
