You can directly participate in the development of the University of Trieste in various ways:

When you next complete your income tax return, you can give your 5x1000 (cinque per mille, that is, 0.5% of your income tax) to the University of Trieste.

By choosing to give your 5X1000 to the University, you are contributing to supporting PhD scholarships and, therefore, to training students embarking on an academic career.

Thanks to the 5X1000 initiative, you can support the University and help continue to bring value to the region in terms of innovation, employment, technology transfer, and economic impact – just as UniTS has done for the last hundred years.

The University, in compliance with a last will and testament, is able to establish foundations with official legal status and their own assets. These foundations can be aimed at supporting scientific research in various fields, establishing scholarships and study awards and even specialisation courses.

It is possible to contribute to supporting the University's activities through a bequest or donation, even of modest value. The University commits to using the funds raised to support research, develop new projects, and encourage initiatives for capable and deserving students.

The donation

A donation is a contribution that is given freely. The desire to make a donation is expressed through a letter of intent, followed by the University's acceptance and the subsequent formalization of the notary deed. In the case of donations of modest value, a notary deed is not required. Works of art or other movable property considered useful for the University (e.g., laboratory equipment, teaching tools, items of historical interest) can also be donated.

Bequest or Legacy:

It is possible to leave certain assets, whether movable or immovable, to the University of Trieste in a will. The testator may also indicate the purpose(s) for which these assets should be used. If the bequest is without specific designation, the University will decide on its use within the scope of its institutional purposes.
