Deadlines and initial proficiency assessment

Applications for transfer requests from another University are open from 3rd June (at 9:00) to 4th October 2024.

Degree courses with competitive admission
Check the relevant call for applications for any specific deadlines and procedures.

Initial proficiency assessment is required for all courses and is mandatory. However, in certain cases courses taken at your university of origin may be considered to have already fulfilled this requirement. Please check your degree course’s website for any specific procedures.

Submitting your enrolment application

If you are enrolled in another (Italian) university and wish to continue your studies at UniTS:

  1. submit a transfer request to the institution where you are currently enrolled (check terms and conditions)
  2. submit your enrolment application at UniTS following the steps below:
  • log in to the online Student Academic Services (Esse3).
  • Follow the application procedure: select Menu>Home>Enrolment (‘Incoming transfer’ option)
    1. fill in all fields and upload the required documents
    2. pay the first instalment of your  university fees to confirm your pre-enrolment

If you withdraw from studies at your current university, you can choose between two options:

Recognition of academic career

If you did not pass any exams at your university of origin or if you do not request a credit transfer, you will be automatically enrolled in the first year of your chosen degree course. When the documentation arrives from your university of origin, you will receive an e-mail confirming your enrolment. You will be able to see your student ID number when you enter your Reserved area in the online Academic Services (Esse3).

If you wish to request the recognition of your academic career, please fill in the relevant section of your application form.
When the documentation arrives from your university of origin, the relevant unit of your degree course will establish in which year of study you may enrol, and which credits can be recognised. If necessary, the Admissions Office will require you to submit an individual study programme.
When the procedure is complete, the Admissions Office will send you an e-mail confirming your enrolment and official credit recognition. You will be able to see your student ID number when you enter your Reserved area in the online Academic Services (Esse3).

A transfer fee will be charged as indicated in the fees notice
