The University of Trieste supports, enhances, and promotes Public Engagement activities proposed by teaching and research staff. The initiatives involve a diverse range of public and private entities such as institutions, associations, individuals, and other organizations.

The University, in particular, provides specific support in various phases of implementing a wide range of projects funded by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and managed by the Departments. • notifies all University professors of the publication of regional calls for contributions for cultural activities
• collects proposals from teaching and research staff of the various Departments
• manages the various phases of internal project selection
• participates in meetings organized by the Region, gathering all information regarding the application process and updating teaching and research staff
• provides assistance during the project planning phase, offering support on content and formal aspects of the projects, highlighting perspectives and strengths of the proposals
• provides support throughout the implementation of initiatives
• collaborates in designing evaluation questionnaires and monitors the activities carried out
