48 hours to build a Blue future

Decipher the new challenges of the sea and become players in the blue economy of the future. The challenge to chart the new course in tomorrow's blue economy starts from Ancona

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, "The Blue Way Hackathon", an event designed to enhance, connect and give voice to the ideas of 50 young people to bring to life new projects with a view to the digital transition for the blue economy, will kick off in Ancona, in the Aula Azzurra of the Department of Life Sciences at the Università Politecnica delle Marche.

The Blue Way Hackathon offers students over 18 years old from high schools, universities and ITS, recent graduates and PhD students the chance to bring to life new projects designed to solve current sea-related problems with innovative solutions. The participants, divided into groups, through a process of shared creation and crossfertlization will work for 48 hours at the Unicorn event hall in Passetto, supported by professors, blue economy experts, professionals and entrepreneurs.

The best ideas will receive a prize in technology vouchers, but it doesn't end there! All ideas, translated into actionable projects, will be eligible for inclusion in acceleration tracks to turn into real start-ups and create new Blue economy!

The Blue Way Hackathon is organized by the Upper Adriatic Technological Pole, University of Trieste, Università Politecnica delle Marche, IRBIM CNR and OGS, co-funded by the European project Reginna 4.0 and the PNRR Inest-Interconnected Northeast Ecosystem, in collaboration with Tipicità in Blu, the Municipality of Ancona and Confindustria Ancona Piccola Industria.
