The Network of Italian Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS) was launched by CRUI in July 2016. It represents the first initiative for coordination and sharing among all Italian universities engaged in issues of environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

The main goal of the Network is to promote the dissemination of sustainability culture and best practices, both within and outside universities (at urban, regional, national, and international levels), in order to increase the positive environmental, ethical, social, and economic impacts of the actions undertaken by its members. This contributes to achieving the SDGs and strengthens the recognition and value of the Italian experience at the international level.

The university’s contact person is Prof. Alessandro Massi Pavan.

UNI-ITALIA is a non-profit association recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR), and several other Italian ministries. Its mission is to support the internationalization of Italian academic institutions by attracting foreign students and researchers and strengthening cooperation between Italy and other countries. The Association works to facilitate the arrival of international talent in Italian universities through the promotion abroad of the national academic offer and the development of academic collaborations with third countries. To achieve these goals, Uni-Italia implements initiatives and government programs such as Invest Your Talent in Italy and Alumni Farnesina, signs agreements with institutional bodies, and organizes national and international conferences aimed at creating spaces for dialogue on student mobility policies and university cooperation. Uni-Italia is also present in numerous third countries through Centers located within Italian diplomatic-consular representations and Italian Cultural Institutes, which assist students in making informed choices about their academic path. Currently, Uni-Italia Centers are located in China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Morocco, and Vietnam. New openings are planned in other strategic countries such as Turkey, Central Asia, and several nations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Uni-Italia also has a Liaison Office with the European Union in Brussels, dedicated to fundraising and advocacy activities to strengthen and expand Italian participation in European networks.

The university’s contact person is Prof. Elisabetta De Giorgi.
