On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, the University of Trieste will host the study day “SicurezzAccessibile – Violence and Harassment in the Workplace”, dedicated to analyzing the various forms of violence in professional settings, with a particular focus on sectors with frequent public interaction.

The event will take place in the Bachelet Room (Building A, Piazzale Europa 1 Campus) and will feature contributions from experts in academia, healthcare, law, and transport. Topics will include epidemiological data, direct experiences from the healthcare and transport sectors, legal and psychological perspectives, and the application of ILO Convention No. 190/2019.

The event qualifies as formal training for mandatory workplace health and safety updates. Specifically, staff and faculty of the University of Trieste may receive 4 hours of certified training.

It is also recognized as 4 hours of professional development for external participants holding roles such as Safety Officers (ASPP), Safety Managers (RSPP), Safety Coordinators, and Certified Trainers (second thematic area). The event is organized in collaboration with the Italian Society of Occupational Medicine – Triveneto Section and the Equal Opportunities Committee (CUG) of the University of Trieste.
