On Friday, May 24, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Conference "Scientific Diplomacy and the Missions of the University - Experiences and Reflections" will be held at the University of Trieste, Sala Atti Cacciaguerra, Central Building A, Piazzale Europa 1.

The theme of Science Diplomacy has gradually emerged over the past two decades to describe the intersection between foreign policy, science policies and the missions of the university. In fact, this area of work and study concerns both international cooperation in research and education and the international projection of the third mission and, as such, has become an important part of European, national and regional policies, as well as an aggregating motive for alliances of different actors brought closer together by a common interest in Science Diplomacy. The University of Trieste counts numerous experiences that, at the international level, can be considered an effective contribution to the University's Scientific Diplomacy action. The purpose of this meeting is to initiate a systemization of these experiences, in order to make the University a recognized and recognizable actor in the field of Scientific Diplomacy, in Italy and abroad.

The detailed conference program and the Teams link to connect can be found in the attachment below.
