On 3 July 2025, the final presentation and award ceremony of the workshop organised by the Integrated Design Laboratory for Architecture and the Built Environment – RRR Lab will take place in Cavazzo Carnico, at the A2A hydroelectric power plant in Somplago. The initiative is part of the Single Cycle Degree Course in Architecture at the University of Trieste (academic year 2024/2025).

Organised in collaboration with the Department of Engineering and Architecture (DIA) and the Municipality of Cavazzo Carnico, the event offers an opportunity for dialogue between students, professors, technical experts and representatives of local and regional institutions. The focus will be on ideas and proposals for the northern shore of Lake Cavazzo.

During the workshop, which was held from 26 to 31 May 2025, students developed eight architectural and landscape design proposals for the creation of a public park. The experience allowed them to engage with a real context, combining creativity, technical knowledge and interaction with the local community.

The event on 3 July will include institutional greetings and an introduction by the teaching staff, followed by student presentations. The projects will be commented on by local authorities and experts. The day will conclude with the announcement of the competition winners and a guided tour of the hydroelectric plant.

• Final overview of the workshop by professors Thomas Bisiani, Luigi Di Dato, Michela Lupieri and Adriano Venudo

• Announcement of winners and awarding of prizes and certificates by the competition jury
• 7:00 PM – Guided tour of the A2A hydroelectric plant (reserved for attending authorities)
