WHAT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE NEW GENERATIONS?

Project of the Soroptimist Club Trieste - President Paola Sbisà

Referents: Lucia Gardossi, Emilia Mezzetti, Oliva Quasimodo
The aim of the Soroptimist Club Trieste project is to illustrate the concept of sustainability as an opportunity to reconcile social welfare, economic growth and the environment. Sustainability, in its three components, environmental, economic and social, is part of the 17 United Nations objectives that are of particular relevance for the future of the new generations. Through a series of meetings we aim to illustrate the opportunities that young people have to actively contribute to their realisation through the tools offered by research, encouraging them to realise their generative potential. Entrepreneurial models will be identified that express values and ingenuity, combining innovation and culture, while respecting the environment. Women entrepreneurs who are attentive and sensitive to the issue of sustainability, who operate in the commercial sphere in the production of sustainable products, and women who work in the scientific field will be present as testimonials. Dialoguing with them you will learn about their entrepreneurial vision and the possibilities of developing new innovative ideas inspired by sustainable development. The meetings will be aimed at both the general public and final year high school and university students.
