On Wednesday, 17 June 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Bachelet Lecture Hall, Building A, on the Piazzale Europa Campus, will host the conference “New opportunities and obligations in pay transparency: European rules and Decree No. 96 of 2026”.

The event is promoted by the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies of the University of Trieste – IUSLIT and will focus on the latest regulatory developments concerning pay transparency, with particular attention to recent changes at European and national level.

The conference will address practical and sanction-related issues concerning pay transparency before recruitment and during employment, the relationship between transparency and fair wages, communication within SMEs, the perspective of employers’ associations and employment agencies, and the role of technology in making pay information more accessible and verifiable.

The event will open with institutional greetings by Gian Paolo Dolso, Director of IUSLIT, Andrea Melon, Secretary of the Trieste Bar Association, Erika Damiani, President of the Trieste Order of Labour Consultants, and Anna Bembi, Vice-President of the Trieste section of the Italian Association of Young Lawyers. The conference will be introduced and chaired by Maria Dolores Ferrara, Full Professor of Labour Law at the University of Trieste.

Speakers will include Bruno Arbanassi, Lucio Benvegnù, Massimo Iesu, Massimiliano Ciarrocchi, Gianluca Gioffrè, Leonardo Fabretti, Fabrizio Lallo and Alessandro Risaro.

The event is accredited by the Trieste Bar Association, with the recognition of 3 professional training credits, and by the Trieste Order of Labour Consultants for compulsory continuing professional training.
