On Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the first of a series of three seminars entitled "Innovating for the Planet: Chemistry to Address Environmental Challenges" will take place at the San Marco Bookshop and Café, located at Via Cesare Battisti 18, Trieste. This series is a Public Social Engagement initiative of the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Trieste.

Dr. Jacopo Dosso will discuss "Addressing climate change with organic photocatalysis".

The world of chemistry plays an increasingly central role in the challenges our society faces. From this point of view, the possibility of carrying out chemical reactions using solar energy and organic photocatalysts represents a turning point from the point of view of the sustainability of chemical processes.
