On March 7, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM, the University of Trieste will host the conference "Punishment in Current European Criminal Law" in the Bachelet Room of Building A (Piazzale Europa 1). The event will include the presentation of the book by Adriano Martufi, titled "Punitive Power in EU Law: Differentiation of Protection Models and Modulation of Criminal Guarantees" (Giappichelli, Torino, 2024).

The event will be opened with institutional greetings from Prof. Gian Paolo Dolso, Director of the Department of Legal Sciences, Language, Interpretation, and Translation at the University of Trieste; Cons. Dr. Andrea Odoardo Comez, Territorial Contact of the School of the Judiciary; Avv. Alessandro Cuccagna, President of the Bar Association of Trieste; and Avv. Sabina Della Putta, President of the Criminal Bar of Trieste.

The book presentation will be coordinated by Dr. Nicola Recchia of the University of Trieste, followed by speeches from Prof. Rosaria Sicurella, University of Catania; Prof. Carlo Sotis, University of Tuscia; Prof. Fabio Spitaleri, University of Trieste; and Dr. Rosa Maria Putrino, President of the Surveillance Court of Trieste. They will discuss the contents of the book with the author, Adriano Martufi.
