Teaching and research activities of PhD programmes can take place entirely in Italy or abroad, given the increasingly wide perspective of internationalization.

The PhD student has also the opportunity to obtain either a double diploma in case of Joint supervision of Phd thesis or the Doctor Europaeus label. 

PhD students must follow a specific procedure in case of study periods abroad. When required, they must produce some documentation for insurance, career or scholarship increase purposes.
