Thanks to an agreement signed between the University of Trieste and local healthcare authority (ASUGI), university staff will benefit from a 15% reduction on the fees for healthcare services provided on a private practice basis.

The discount applies to academic, research, technical and administrative staff and language assistants, both permanent and fixed-term, whether currently employed or retired. It is also extended to relatives and in-laws up to the second degree of kinship.

Healthcare services, bookable through the usual methods via the CUP system or authorised pharmacies, will be provided by doctors participating in the agreement at the hospitals of Trieste, Gorizia and Monfalcone.

Payment, to be made by the beneficiaries of the services themselves, must be completed by bank transfer to ASUGI no later than the day after the service is provided.

To access the discount, staff must present their university badge, or if not available, a screenshot of the UniTS phonebook showing their details together with proof of identity. Relatives and in-laws up to the second degree, as well as retired staff, must present a self-declaration confirming the required family relationship or retired staff status, together with proof of identity.
