All students who were enrolled at the University of Trieste in the academic year 2023-2024 will be asked to fill in two questionnairesfrom 19th August to 20th September using UniTS online student academic services (Esse3).

- The first questionnaire regards students’ overall study experience for the academic year 2023-2024. This questionnaire seeks to monitor student satisfaction with: the organisation of their study course; their timetable; the classrooms, laboratories and other study spaces; the administrative services offered by the University and the Departments; the services offered by ARDIS, the CUS and the local public transport network (TPL).

- The second questionnaire concerns each examination taken in the academic year 2023-2024. This questionnaire seeks to assess the way in which the examinations were conducted and their consistency with the examination syllabus.

Students must complete all questionnaires in order to proceed with any further ESSE3 operations. The questionnaires are strictly anonymous.

These surveys are one of the University’s main listening tools. UniTS has been actively engaged in this self-assessment process for some time now with the aim of analysing its ability to respond to the needs of its various stakeholders, first and foremost the students. 

The annual satisfaction survey for administrative and support services has adopted questionnaires prepared as part of the ‘Good Practice’ project for a second year. The project, which UniTS is part of, is coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano and compares over 50 Italian universities with a view to benchmarking and identifying possible good practices to be developed. 

The survey on examination experience, shared with the Student Council, is recognised to be a strong point in the University's Quality Assurance System by the Evaluation Board.
