Applications are now open for the “Maria Lucia Malagnini” scholarships, intended for students enrolled in the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physics at the University of Trieste.

For the academic year 2025/2026, two scholarships of €2,500 each are available:

• 1 scholarship for students enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physics;
• 1 scholarship for students enrolled in the third year of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physics.

Admission requirements

Eligible applicants are:

• students enrolled for the first time in the second year (a.y. 2025/2026) of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physics at the University of Trieste, who have earned at least 40 ECTS by 30 September 2025, with a weighted grade point average of 25/30 or higher;
• students enrolled for the first time in the third year (a.y. 2025/2026) of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physics at the University of Trieste, who have earned at least 100 ECTS by 30 September 2025, with a weighted grade point average of 25/30 or higher.

Applications must be submitted exclusively online, no later than 1:00 p.m. (CEST) on 30 October 2025, by logging in with University credentials (student ID, format snnnnnnn – e.g. s123654) at the dedicated link.
