Eni has opened nominations for the Young Researcher of the Year Award, an international recognition of technological innovation in the energy and environmental sectors, awarded as part of the 2025 edition of the Eni Award.

Two prizes, each worth € 25,000, will be awarded to young researchers who defended their PhD theses at an Italian university in 2023 or 2024 and were born in the year 1992 or later.

Participants must present research on topics relating to energy and the environment, including:

• carbon capture and storage
• renewable energies
• energy efficiency
• green chemistry and natural resource management

Each applicant must have a Guarantor, such as a university professor or head of department.

Winners will receive a customised plaque and attend the Prize Giving Ceremony in Italy, with accommodation provided for each winner and a plus one.

The deadline for submitting the application is 15th November 2024.
