MEDICINE FILTER SEMESTER - EXEMPTION AND COMPENSATORY MEASURES

To request compensatory and exemption measures, please download, complete, sign and send the Disability form or the SLD form with a copy of your identity document andthe documentation certifying your disability or SLD condition.

This documentation must be sent to Ufficio Diritto allo Studio e Servizi agli Studenti - Servizio disabilità-DSA at the email address disabilita.dsa@units.it) no later than:
- 5 November 2025 (for the exam session scheduled on November 20) 
- 25 November 2025 (for the exam session scheduled on December 10). 
Documentation sent after this deadline will not be considered.

Please note that the certifications required to obtain dispensatory and compensatory measures should have been issued by public and/or private structures accredited for this purpose in accordance with regional regulations.
N.B.: Do not resend medical certification that has already been submitted.

The dispensatory and compensatory measures allowed will be communicated later on.

Disability Service
The Disability Service is a space, both physical and virtual, designed for students with disabilities.
SLD Service
The SLD (Specific Learning Disabilities) Service is a space, both physical and virtual, dedicated to students with specific learning disorders: dyslexia, dysorthography, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.

The University of Trieste recognizes diversity as an intrinsic characteristic of all humanity. Aligned with the new International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2002, the University shares the view that vulnerability results from a complex interaction of personal, health-related, and environmental factors in which people live and operate.

Built on these principles and in harmony with Goal 4 of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the University of Trieste has implemented policies aimed at:

  • Strengthening the growth of an academic community aware of the richness represented by differences, viewed as assets rather than constraints, and attentive to the needs of individuals with disabilities or facing difficulties.
  •  Enhancing the culture of inclusion by acting on personal and contextual dimensions.
  •  Eliminating any barrier that represents an obstacle to achieving the goal of inclusion based on equity and equal opportunities.

To improve accessibility, the University's Technical Section is committed to the qualitative improvement of physical spaces, making them safely accessible with maximum autonomy for an increasing number of individuals.

The Disability and Learning Support Service provides guidance in choosing a study path, support during university entry, and continuous personalized assistance until the attainment of the academic degree. The Placement Service (Job Desk) offers information on employment prospects, continuous training opportunities, and strengthening tools for active job searching.

Experiences and projects initiated by the University of Trieste are shared with other institutions in the macro-region through the Coordination of Universities in the Triveneto Region for Inclusion (UNI3V), established in December 2016.
