15 April 2025 , 6:30 - 8:30 pm Testo evento Tuesday, April 15, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Cappella Hall – former Military Hospital (via Fabio Severo 40, Trieste), the seminar “Words to Navigate Uncertainty: Communicating Health and Environmental Risks” will be held, organized by Collegio Fonda and featuring Dr. Giancarlo Sturloni, an expert in risk communication and Head of Science Communication at Greenpeace Italy. We live in what is often described as a risk society, where issues such as epidemics, natural disasters, climate change, health crises, and rapid technological advances generate widespread uncertainty. In this context, risk communication is essential: providing accessible and transparent information is key to protecting public health, managing emergencies, and enabling informed decision-making.The seminar will reflect on the need to develop effective strategies for sharing scientific knowledge in complex or controversial situations, fostering dialogue among institutions, experts, the media, and citizens. Communicating risk clearly means not only sharing data, but also offering tools to interpret uncertainty, navigate public discourse, and engage in collective choices. The seminar is open to students, professionals, and all citizens interested in issues related to health, the environment, and science communication. It will be held in person and is free of charge, with prior registration required. Link Event link
