Thu, Mar 7 2024, 5 - 7pm Testo evento The meeting ‘Women entrepreneurs and managers in the world of mechanics’ is the seventh in the series ‘Women and Work’ organised by UniTS, MIB Trieste and AIDDA., and will take place on 7th March 2024, from 17:00 to 19:00, in MIB Trieste School of Management, Palazzo Ferdinandeo, Largo Caduti di Nassiriya 1, TriesteThe event aims to put the spotlight on the stories, challenges and prospects of women who are making their mark in the sector, an area traditionally dominated by men, where female employment barely reaches 20%.The purpose of the meeting is to analyse trends in an industry where women's employment is slightly increasing (albeit mainly in clerical functions) but where the gender pay gap is much more pronounced than in other sectors. The event will highlight women's contribution to leadership roles and promote a constructive discussion on closing the pay gap and increasing the presence of women in the industry, particularly in specialised roles. The discussion will highlight that by doing so, young people would be encouraged to enter the industry and the skills gap that has been repeatedly highlighted would be counteracted.PROGRAMME:Introductions: Donata Vianelli, Head of the Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics, University of TriesteInstitutional greetings:Roberto Di Lenarda, Rector, University of TriesteAndrea Tracogna, Dean, MIB Trieste School of Management and Full Professor of Economics and Business Management, University of TriesteChiara de Nipoti, President of the FVG section of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Managers (AIDDA)Alessia Rosolen, Councillor for Labour, Training, Education, Equal Opportunities, Youth Policies, Research and University, Friuli Venezia Giulia RegionSergia Adamo, President of the Interdepartmental Centre for Gender Studies (CISG), University of TriesteOpening speech:Women in mechanics past, present and futureLucia Parussini, Professor of Fluid Machines, Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of TriesteRubina Romanello, Professor of Economics and Business Management, Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics, University of TriesteStories of women in the world of mechanicsLuisa Citossi, Entrepreneur and Managing Director, Aussafer GroupIndira Fabbro, President, HPG SrlElide Masutti, Entrepreneur, Intermek SrlAlessandra Sangoi, Entrepreneur and Managing Director, Sangoi GroupSabrina Strolego, Entrepreneur and CEO, Ergolines Lab SrlConclusions:Sergio Barel, President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Metalmechanics ClusterAnna Limpido, Equality Advisor, Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Participation is free, but subject to registration Allegati Document Programma Document Program EN
