Calendar 09 September 2026, 9 am - 1 pm Sede evento Edificio A, Piazzale Europa 1 Immagine evento Image Testo evento On Wednesday 9 September 2026, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, the Piazzale Europa Campus will host “Where Mums and Dads Work”, a day dedicated to the children of University of Trieste staff.Organised by the University’s Equal Opportunities Committee (CUG), the initiative will give children the opportunity to explore their parents’ workplaces through games, workshops and activities designed for different age groups. A total of 60 places are available and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.The day will begin at 9.00 am in the square at the foot of the main steps of Building A, with welcoming remarks by Rector Donata Vianelli, Director General Marco Porzionato and CUG President Maria Dolores Ferrara. At 9.30 am, the Municipal Civil Protection Group of the Municipality of Trieste will lead the activity “Let’s learn about Civil Protection by playing with water”, followed by a snack break at 10.30 am.From 11.00 am to 1.00 pm, the programme will continue with activities tailored to different age groups. Children aged 0 to 5, in the Cacciaguerra Lecture Room, will be able to take part in the movement workshop Animals at Play, the reading workshop Trieste Nursery Rhymes: Play and Read with Us and the creative workshop Paper Stories: Imagine, Build and Invent.Children aged 6 to 11 will instead be able to join a robotics workshop, the physics activity The World of Coloured Bubbles and the Motorsport at the University workshop organised by the UniTS Racing Team.The event forms part of the CUG’s activities to promote equal opportunities and organisational wellbeing across the University community.To take part, please complete the registration form by 11.59 pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
