On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the event for high schools entitled "UNIVAXDAY 2026" will take place in the Aula Magna of building H3 on the Campus.

The educational event, promoted by the Italian Society of Immunology, Clinical Immunology, and Allergology (SIICA), will take place in person and in parallel at all participating universities nationwide. This 2026 edition is the eighth: UNIVAXDay is a national education and awareness day on the topic of vaccines, specifically aimed at fourth- and fifth-year secondary school students.

9:00-9:20 Greetings and introduction to the event

9:20-9:55 "How the immune system works"

9:55-10:30 "How vaccines are made"
(Prof. Paolo Macor, University of Trieste)

10:30-10:50 BREAK

10:50-11:25 "Vaccinations from a pediatrician's perspective"
(Prof. Andrea Taddio, Burlo Garofolo Maternal and Child Hospital)

11:25-12:00 "Vaccines: what do we take home?"
(Dr. Luisa Alessio, University of Trieste)
