The series of meetings entitled ‘Rogers Events’ continues on Thursday 27 February 2025, at 3.45 p.m., at the Rogers Station, riva Grumula 14, Trieste.

‘A thousand steps/thousand steps. La diga foranea del porto di Trieste’ is the title of a didactic workshop organised within the framework of the Laboratorio 2 Costruire nel Costruito/A of the IUAV University of Venice with lecturers Piero Zucchi and Salvatore Russo (Mattia Marzaro, Ileana Ippolito and Mila Cvetkovic collaborating).

The meeting takes the form of a moment of confrontation and discussion on the city of Trieste and its Porto Vecchio, with particular reference to the Foranea Dam, in order to offer students useful knowledge for the development of design research for the area. 

Speakers will include Giovanni Fraziano, senior researcher at the University of Trieste and president of Stazione Rogers, Giulio Bernetti, director of the Department of Public Works and Planning of the Municipality of Trieste and Giulia Zolia, Head of Planning at the Port System Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea. Piero Zucchi will be the moderator of the event.
The event is organised by the E.N. Rogers Association in agreement with the University of Trieste.
