Pasolini tra passione e ideologia’ (La nave di Teseo, 2025).Desogus' essay investigates Pasolini's literary and intellectual work through the lens of contradiction, an aspect that characterises the writer's dual, contrasted and always countercurrent gaze. Through a number of significant archival discoveries and numerous comparisons - from Dante to Dostoevsky, from Leopardi to Fortini, from Gramsci to de Martino to Horkheimer and Adorno - the book seeks in the interweaving of words and images that plot that links Pasolini's legacy to our present, his anxieties to our questions.The following day, Friday 13 June, at the DiSU premises in Via Lazzaretto vecchio, the same Adamo, Desogus, Gasparotto and Gatto will present the activities of the Scuola Pasolini, the summer school dedicated to Pasolini studies that takes place every year in Casarsa della Delizia.The Pasolini School, conceived and directed by Paolo Desogus and Lisa Gasparotto, is since 2018 a fundamental meeting point for young Pasolini scholars. Now in its eighth edition, which will take place in Casarsa from 10 to 13 September, this year it will be dedicated to Pasolini and cinema. Film, theory and audiovisual writing, with lectures by specialists from Italy and abroad. The focus of the lectures will be both Pasolini's film production and his theoretical reflection on writing for the cinema and on cinema as language.Paolo Desogus is Maître de conférences at the Sorbonne Université in Paris. His studies mainly concern Italian post-World War II literary production and the relationship between cinema and literature. In addition to numerous articles in specialist journals, in 2018 he published the volumes Laboratorio Pasolini. Theory of Sign and Cinema (Quodlibet) and La confusion des langues. Autour du style indirect libre dans l'oeuvre de Pier Paolo Pasolini (Éditions Mimésis).Sergia Adamo teaches Comparative Literature and Theory of Literature at the University of Trieste.Lisa Gasparotto teaches at the University of Trieste and the University of Milano-Bicocca.Marco Gatto teaches Theory of Literature at the University of Calabria.‘SpringBookS. Dialogues of literary theory and cultural criticism’ is a series of events curated by Sergia Adamo, Francesca D'Alessio, Tommaso Dal Monte and Iwan Paolini. The series will continue with further meetings until 23 June. The guests of the initiative discuss their publishing activities, publications and research works, all of which compare the present with the thought of some of the leading names of the 20th century literary and cultural scene, from Auerbach to Haraway, from Pasolini to Lonzi.
