29 March 2025 , 7:30 - 9:30 pm Testo evento On Saturday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the Section of Studies in Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators of the University of Trieste at 14 Via Filzi, SISMA, an innovative show that blends scientific popularization and theatrical performance to explore the phenomenon of earthquakes, will be staged. Conceived by Daniele Tenze and Alberto Rizzo, it is produced by the CEA Mulino Cocconi ODV, the managing body of the Gemona Water Ecomuseum, thanks to a grant from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region as part of its projects for scientific popularization.SISMA is a stand-up show that brings science to the stage through accessible and engaging language. Scientific theories, seismological data and collective memory intertwine in an immersive experience enriched by a unique sound environment: thanks to a laser projection, seismograms take visual and sound form, offering the audience a new way to perceive the Earth's movements. The show addresses geosciences with a multidisciplinary approach that mixes geology, acoustics and seismology with the physical and emotional impact of earthquakes. Thanks to the collaboration with University of Trieste professors Stefano Parolai and Fabio Romanelli, the scientific material collected for the show helped update the activities of the Earthquake Lab, the science outreach center of the Ecomuseo delle Acque, active in Gemona del Friuli since 2016.SISMA is an integral part of the “Noi e il Terremoto” project in which the University of Trieste, CSS Teatro Stabile di Innovazione del Friuli Venezia Giulia and the municipalities of Buja and Gemona del Friuli are partners. The play's authors, in its initial draft, also benefited from personal collaborations developed within the artistic residency offered by the Ars-Arti Relazioni Scienza project, which allowed for a synergistic optimization of existing knowledge on the topic in the region. In this context, the first rehearsal of the show was hosted at the “Invisible Cities” festival, organized by the City of Gradisca d'Isonzo and the Quarantasettezeroquattro association with the collaboration of various organizations including the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics - OGS and Kaleidoscienza.Free admission subject to availability Allegati Document Flyer
