Tue, Jan 28 2025, 3 - 5pm Testo evento The Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies (IUSLIT) of the University of Trieste, in cooperation with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, is organising the conference ‘Property Taxation in Italy and in Europe: A Comparison’, which will take place on Tuesday 28th January 2025, starting at 15:00, in the Reception Hall of the FVG Region Building (Piazza Unità d'Italia, 1). The event will provide an important opportunity for experts in the sector to exchange views, with a focus on both Italian property taxation and international experiences. Property taxation is indeed a crucial issue for families and businesses, since wealth is often invested in real estate, attracting the interest of tax legislators both for the income it can generate and as a basis for property taxes. In the first part, speeches will focus on the main issues of property taxation in Italy, delving into the theoretical and constitutional foundations, as well as the critical issues related to the most relevant taxes, such as IMU and ILIA, the municipal and regional property tax respectively. The second part will broaden the horizon to a European level, thanks to the contributions of scholars from Croatia and Slovenia, who will offer a comparative analysis of the different tax regulations applied in their respective countries.Dario Stevanato, Professor of Tax Law at the University of Trieste, who will introduce and coordinate the proceedings, and Alessia Sbroiavacca, researcher in Tax Law at UniTS, are scheduled to participate. The event is sponsored by the Italian Association of Tax Law Professors and Scholars (AIPSDT) and the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP).Registration Allegati Document Flyer and full programme
