On Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 5:15 PM, the Trieste "Circolo della Stampa", Corso Italia 13, will host the presentation of the EUT Edizioni Università di Trieste volume "Italy in Grey-Green. Writers in Arms in the Great War. An Anthology Edited by Fulvio Senardi".

Fulvio Senardi, the volume's editor, will be in conversation with Walter Chiereghin, director of the web magazine "Il Ponte Rosso," a monthly art and culture publication, and Luciano Santin, deputy director of the Trieste Press Club, in a meeting open to the public.

"May death inspire you with life, may war inspire you with peace." With these words, Giani Stuparich spoke on the subject of the volunteers of the Great War, whose choice and fate he shared. The book recounts those terrible five years through the voices of writers and poets who lived the war in gray-green, finding the strength to express ideals and thoughts among the flames and trenches. A mosaic of ideals, motivations, and unique perspectives, it brings together some of the most powerful pages born from the experience of the front.
