Testo evento

On Thursday 5 December 2024, from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., there will be a presentation of the book "Confutation of Sight and Other Ideologies" by Riccardo Luccio.

The event will be held at the SBA Information Point (Central Building A, left wing, ground floor, Campus Piazzale Europa 1).

The poet and journalist Matteo Moder will dialogue with the author Riccardo Luccio.

Readings by Lorenzo Zuffi.

In the upper Biois valley lives an almost isolated community of blind people. In a discussion with a group of sighted people, the blind demonstrate with irrefutable arguments that sight does not exist, and that if it did, it would be a curse, because it would only reveal the surface of things, concealing their essence.

Riccardo Luccio is a medical doctor by training, but has been conducting experimental research on models of visual perception and data analysis all his life. He is professor emeritus at the University of Trieste. Author of numerous scientific publications, including twelve volumes, he is at his first literary endeavour.
