31 January 2026, 8:30 - 9:30 pm Testo evento On Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 8:30 pm, students from the linguistic section (SSLMIT) of the Department of Legal Sciences, Language, Interpreting and Translation (IUSLIT) of the University of Trieste will be the special guests of the third edition of "Notti Ground", an initiative organized by Hangar Teatri and the University Theatre Center of Trieste."Notti Ground" aims to highlight the linguistic diversity, cultural richness, and diverse histories that characterize the Old Continent. The event represents an opportunity for encounter and sharing, where music becomes a common language, capable of creating dialogue and recounting identities and experiences. The evening will be enriched by the musical accompaniment of Trieste-born singer-songwriter Cortellino.This Saturday's meeting is part of the project "Inside and Outside Words. War and Peace in Friuli Venezia Giulia", promoted by the Teatro degli Sterpi – Hangar Teatri Association and implemented with funding from the 2025 Regional Historical Ethnographic Call for Educational and Teaching Projects on Expressive Reading Aloud, aimed at schools and universities.IUSLIT is an active partner of the initiative, as part of its Public and Social Engagement – Third Mission (IPS-TM) activities.The project, which involves around twenty teachers, collaborators and linguistic experts (CEL) and forty students from the SSLMIT, includes a training period for both the teachers and CEL and the participating students, and expressive readings aloud on the theme of war in various city spaces.SSLMIT's readings will take place in February and March, concluding on April 25-26, 2026, with a reading at Hangar Teatri.
