On Friday 12th July, at 15:00, in the Bachelet room of the University of Trieste (building A, 1st floor, Piazzale Europa,1) the conference 'Nautical Tourism and Recreational Boating: Current Situation and Future Prospects' will take place.

The initiative is promoted by the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies (IUSLIT) of UniTS in cooperation with the Maritime Directorate of Friuli Venezia Giulia, with the aim of taking a snapshot of "the state of the art" of an increasingly relevant economic sphere for the economy of the sea and for the development of quality tourism.

The proceedings will be coordinated by Massimo Campailla, Professor of Navigation Law at the University of Trieste.

Speeches will be given by some of the leading experts in nautical tourism and recreational boating, including Roberto Perocchio, president of Assomarinas, the Italian Association of Marinas, who will provide an up-to-date picture of the sector.

Speakers will also include Luciano Del Prete, Maritime Director of FVG and Commander of the Port of Trieste, who will talk about safety in recreational navigation.

The final conclusions will be entrusted to Stefano Zunarelli, Professor of Navigation Law at the University of Bologna.

The initiative is addressed not only to an audience of experts, but also to simple recreational boating enthusiasts.
