The series of seminars included in the ‘Knowing the industry: actuarial students meet actuaries’ initiative begins again.

On Friday 4 April 2025, at 11 a.m., the seminar entitled ‘Managing the Risk of Employee Benefits: Structure, Pricing and Reserving of Collective Life Insurance’ will be held at the Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Trieste.

Dr. Vittorio Zaniboni, EY (Ernst & Young) Business Advisory Services S.à r.l., will be the speaker. Luxembourg.

Group risk covers are a key element of employee benefits, providing protection against adverse events such as death, disability and illness. This seminar will explore their structure, the main differences between international markets and the role they play in the context of social security systems. Fundamental actuarial aspects will be analysed, with a focus on pricing and reserving, which are essential to ensure the sustainability of these schemes. Finally, an overview of the global market and emerging trends in this area will be provided.
