09 March 2025 , 9:15 am - 1:15 pm Testo evento SUNDAY 9 MARCH 2025 ‘JUST THE WOMAN I AM 2025’ RETURNS IN SUPPORT OF HEALTH AND CANCER RESEARCH, AND GENDER EQUALITYThe 5 km non-competitive run/walk organised by Cus Trieste and dedicated to all female students of the University of Trieste will take place in the Miramare Castle ParkTo launch a strong message, accompanied by concrete actions, and to have as a stage one of the most fascinating and iconic places in the city. This is the identity of the event ‘Just The Woman I Am 2025’, curated by Cus Trieste and reserved for female students of the University of Trieste (Cus Trieste membership required to participate), which will be staged on Sunday 9 March 2025, with a meeting point at 9:15 a.m. near the Park Fountain and departure at 10:00 a.m., on the paths of the Miramare Castle Park.Once again this year, Cus Trieste will propose the non-competitive walk/run that was born in the wake of the JTWIA in Turin (in which Cus Torino, FederCUSI, the Polytechnic and the University of the Piedmontese city are involved, and which since 2014 has been an unmissable event with over 30,000 annual attendances) and will raise funds for university research on health and cancer, while also promoting prevention, the application of correct lifestyles, inclusion and gender equality. The Trieste event on Sunday 9 March is free, open to all, and has already sold out in terms of participants. The 5 km route will take place within the 22 hectares (220,000 square metres) of the splendid Miramare Castle Park, which was built between 1856 and 1860 as a residence for Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg and will be the setting for the protagonists of Just The Woman I Am 2025."As CUS Trieste we wanted to give continuity - says CUS Trieste President Michele Pipan - ’to an event capable of promoting values that are important for our society, such as scientific research and gender equality, and to draw attention to issues that can gain visibility through sport but go well beyond the sporting sphere of our association's strict competence. Many of the events organised by the CUS are the result of collaborations with associations and organisations that share the CUS's principles of social commitment: the Just The Woman I Am is part of this sphere, involving the students of the University of Trieste and the management of Miramare Castle, which will open its doors this Sunday. We strongly believe in sport as a tool to give important thrusts to Research and we will try, starting as early as 2026, to make this event grow by involving the city even more and embracing a greater number of interested parties".Contact: cus@units.it Allegati Document Locandina
