08 October 2024 , 6:30 - 8 pm Sede evento Stazione Rogers, Riva Grumula 14 Testo evento The first event and official presentation for the Inclusive Design Hub project, a series of meetings focused on some application aspects of inclusivity, destined for four different fields: Design, Communication, Sound Perception, and Architecture.The goal of ID HUB is to address the concept of inclusive design by clarifying the meaning of the word "disability."The project is promoted and implemented by the Stazione E.N. Rogers association with the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and in partnership with the University of Trieste, the University of Ljubljana, Guarnerio soc.coop. Udine, the Fondazione Progettoautismo FVG Udine, and Bonawentura / Teatro Miela Trieste.After the presentation, the meeting will continue with the event titled "Tutti imbarcABILI! (but how?)", an inclusion journey told by architect Paolo Ferrari, a pioneer in the design of accessible boats. His talk will take the audience through a path full of experiences, projects, and stories demonstrating how boating can become a truly open space for everyone.It will be an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in Italy and to be inspired by the results achieved, also thanks to the contribution of the associative world, which has allowed many new sailors to navigate the seas, united by the desire to break down barriers and sail towards a more inclusive future.Following that, there will be HAPPENING for All with a tack by skipper Massimo Jenko.Paolo Ferrari obtained his Ph.D. in Architecture at the University of Trieste and is internationally recognized as one of the leading experts in designing accessible boats. A former researcher and lecturer in Industrial Design, he has significantly contributed to the training of new generations of designers. He has received numerous awards for innovation in nautical design and has been a passionate promoter of inclusive sailing for over 20 years, aiming to make boating accessible to all.
