On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., in Room A of Building C2 on the University of Trieste Campus, the seminar entitled "Finance and Accounting of Local Authorities: Regulations and Practice" will take place.

Giampaolo Giunta, Secretary General of the Municipality of Trieste, will discuss the topic.

The meeting, held as part of the DiSPeS Administrative Law and Public Accounting Course, will offer an overview of the budgeting and accounting of local authorities, with particular attention to regulatory and operational aspects. The main local government accounting tools and their impact on citizens, users, and taxpayers will be analyzed, along with the internal financial organization of the municipal administration.
Case studies and practical examples will also be presented to facilitate an understanding of the topics covered.
