On Thursday 28 May 2026, at 6.00 pm, in the Sala Predonzani of the Palazzo della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, Equal, the ADCI project dedicated to the promotion of equality through communication, will arrive in Trieste for the first time.

After its established stages in Rome, Milan, and Naples, Equal arrives in Trieste for the first time with a meeting that brings together institutions, academia, and communications professionals, with the aim of reflecting on the role of creativity in building more equitable, inclusive, and representative worlds.
In a context where communication has an increasingly profound impact on the perception of reality, Equal confirms itself as a space for dialogue and awareness, capable of stimulating shared reflection on the power of words, images, and narratives.
The initiative is part of the Equal journey, launched in 2017 as a special prize within the ADCI Awards and now evolving into a national and international project that promotes the culture of inclusion through events, training activities, and initiatives throughout the region.

The meeting will open with Maria Teresa Cavallar and Filippo Girardi, both ADCI Local Ambassadors in Friuli Venezia Giulia, who will introduce the various speakers at this event, which will include a reflection on body shaming. This will be followed by presentations by Stefania Siani, President of ADCI, Lola Manrique of Team Equal, who will present the project, and Fabrizio Pozza, creative director of VML, winner of the 2017 Equal Award.

The program will continue with the contribution of the University of Trieste: Sergia Adamo, coordinator of the Gender Studies Research Center and Deputy Director of DISU - Department of Humanities, will introduce Valentina Piccoli, tenure-track researcher (RTT) at the Department of Life Sciences (DSV). This event also sees the renewal of the collaboration with Parole O_Stili, represented by president and founder Rosy Russo, who will offer a reflection on the role of language in building more responsible and inclusive communication. The event will close with the Region, which has seen the great collaboration of Alessia Rosolen, Regional Councilor for Work, Training, Education, Research, University, and Family.
