On Friday 31st January and Saturday 1st February 2025, the Aula Magna ‘Rita Levi Montalcini’ of the Cattinara teaching centre will host the conference ‘Minors of all genders. Identity, choices, self-determination, ethics’. 

The event is organised by the Consulta di Bioetica non-profit, in collaboration with the Paediatric Outpatient Clinic for Gender Diversity (APEVAGE) of the Burlo Garofolo Pediatric Institute and with the patronage of the University of Trieste and the Department of Medical, Surgical and Health Sciences (DSM).

During the two-day conference, UniTS lecturers, experts from various disciplines, as well as children and parents who live these experiences directly, will take part. The aim is to delve into the topic of gender dysphoria in minors, considering the variety of concrete experiences, the different ethical perspectives and the complexity of situations. The Italian reality will be compared with that of other countries.
