Periodical Publishing 1969-2024"On Thursday 29 and Friday 30 January 2026, at Spaziotrart in Viale XX Settembre 33, a series of workshops entitled "Collecting books, magazines and printed paper - The Redaelli collection of “number one” periodicals" will take place, dedicated to collecting, the history of magazines and periodical culture, with the participation of two UniTs professors, Sergia Adamo and Iwan Paolini.The series of workshops, free for students of the University of Trieste, accompanies the exhibition "NUMBERS ONE ON SHOW. Periodical Publishing 1969-2024", hosted at Spaziotrart as part of the TRartHUB project funded by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia through the Creative Cultural Containers call for proposals, and extended until February 7, 2026.Curated by Andrea Tomasetig, the exhibition is dedicated to Italy's leading periodicals from 1969 to the present and features 150 titles selected from the 750 amassed by collector Enrico Redaelli. Taken together, these publications offer an extraordinarily interesting insight into the history of journalism and the political, cultural, and social history of Italy over the last fifty years. Her research interests include intercultural relations and the relationships between literature and other fields of cultural discourse, with a particular focus on historical and transnational contexts.Andrea Tomasetig: An antiquarian bookseller specializing in 20th-century art since 1979, after graduating from the University of Bologna's DAMS (Department of Music and Performing Arts), Andrea Tomasetig anticipated, through his original catalogs, some of the major trends in Italian collecting related to Futurism, the international avant-garde, publishing, corporate history and culture, photography, and gastronomy. He manages the placement of important collections of 20th-century books, magazines, papers, and images and has curated numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He is a visiting professor at the University of Milan.Iwan Paolini: With a PhD in Linguistic and Literary Studies from the Universities of Udine and Trieste, Iwan Paolini conducts research on the relationships between architecture, design, and literature in the twentieth century, as well as on fantastic narratives. He participated in the European project LITMAG – East European Literary Magazines 1945–2004, with contributions to the Rijeka magazine La Battana.
