On Tuesday, 17 June 2025, the seminar IN CANTIERE will take place as part of the ongoing orientation activities promoted within the POT Programme, and included in the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Course in Architecture of the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Trieste.

The initiative offers a field-based learning experience through guided visits to two construction sites currently at the heart of Gorizia’s urban regeneration process, supported by GO!2025 – European Capital of Culture.

The first site involves the redevelopment of the former Sanatorium (ex-Pneumological Institute), which is being transformed into a Community Hospital and headquarters of the Territorial Operations Center.
The second focuses on Piazzale Casa Rossa, a historic urban gateway at the Italian-Slovenian border, which is undergoing redevelopment into a multifunctional public space.

The activity is coordinated by professors Sara Basso, Thomas Bisiani, and Adriano Venudo, with the direct involvement of the site managers and technical supervisors responsible for the projects.
