On Monday, November 24, 2025, at 4:00 PM, in Room 1A of Building Q, Via Giorgieri (Campus Piazzale Europa), the event "Aspects and Applications of Forensic Entomology: Forensic Entomology in Terrestrial and Aquatic Environments" will take place.

The speaker will be professor Paola Magni, Murdoch University, Perth, Australia.

A forensic scientist specialising in the ecology of decomposition in terrestrial and aquatic environments. Her research has advanced the fields of forensic entomology and aquatic forensics through collaborations with academic institutions and law enforcement agencies worldwide. With over a decade of
experience teaching forensic science, she has developed innovative and nationally recognised educational approaches.
Her expertise is frequently sought by national and international authorities, and her professional achievements have been recognised with several awards, including a prestigious knighthood from her home country.

The initiative is organized by the DSV of the University of Trieste and is aimed specifically at master's and PhD students and professors.
