On July 17–18, 2025, the Adriatico Guesthouse of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste will host the international symposium “Advancements in High-Resolution Imaging Using Next-Generation Light Sources”, dedicated to the latest developments in high-resolution imaging.

The initiative brings together experts and researchers from leading academic and scientific institutions to explore the potential of next-generation light sources, with a particular focus on Free-Electron Laser (FEL) facilities, which are essential for pushing the boundaries of research in physics, materials science, and life sciences.

The University of Trieste will actively contribute to the symposium with the participation of three speakers: Pierre Thibault, Full Professor of Applied Physics, and research fellows Vittorio Di Trapani and Ginevra Lautizi. Lautizi is also involved in the event’s organization as a member of both the scientific and organizing committees.
