Technical health professions
The program trains health professionals able to carry out, independently or with other health professionals, interventions requiring the use of ionising radiation sources, both artificial and natural, of thermal and ultrasonic energy, of magnetic resonance and interventions for physical or dosimetric protection. During the professional traineeship, under the guidance of a clinical tutor, students put the principles learned in the lectures into practice.
The program prepares professionals capable of working in departments and/or services of diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy and health physics in public or private facilities, also on a freelance basis where applicable. It also enables employment in manufacturing industries and sales agencies operating in the field of diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy or in university research centres.
