TRIESTE NEXT 2026: VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

The fifteenth edition of Trieste Next, the Scientific Research Festival, taking place from September 25 to 27, 2026, with a focus on "The Shape of Thought. Interactions between Brains and Intelligences", once again focuses on the "Volunteers Project". This initiative allows all UniTS students to experience the event firsthand. This year's theme invites reflection on what it means to think today, in a world where brains, intelligences, and systems interact in increasingly complex ways. The festival explores intelligence as a plural faculty—natural, artificial, emotional, social, and collective—and investigates how digital technologies and artificial intelligence are transforming cognitive processes and knowledge environments.

Becoming a Trieste Next volunteer is an extremely engaging and stimulating experience that allows you to work on the front lines of an international event, discover the scientific research system in our region, and be inspired by scientists and the dissemination of their projects.

Volunteers will support the activities of the teaching staff in the laboratories in Piazza Unità d'Italia, assist in welcoming visitors, and manage the rooms where conferences and events are held.

To fill this role you need passion, communication and relational skills, empathy and a great desire to have fun and learn!

For your valuable contribution, not only will a certificate of participation be issued: UniTS will recognize 1 CFU to male and female students for 25 hours of volunteering. Simply present the certificate of participation which will be issued at the end of the event to the teaching secretariat of your department. To apply, fill out the form by 8pm on 31 July 2026.

For those interested in carrying out their activity in a specific research group, we remind you that in the application form there is a specific field where you can indicate the name of the relevant professor.

Come and be part of our team, we are waiting for you!
