On 1 October 2026, the Adria Shipping Summit 2026 will take place at the Trieste Maritime Station Conference Centre - Oceania Hall, focusing on the strategic role of the Adriatic and its ports in connecting the Mediterranean, Central and Eastern Europe, and major international corridors.

Starting at 9:30 am, the programme will feature an institutional opening session followed by four thematic sessions involving representatives from institutions, the port and logistics sectors, businesses and experts.

The day will focus on key issues shaping the development of the Upper Adriatic: geopolitical dynamics in the Mediterranean, the role of ports in European connections, railway networks and international corridors, the relationship between ports and industry, the energy transition, and the opportunities linked to critical raw materials.

In the afternoon, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the session “Energy and Critical Raw Materials” will address topics including energy logistics in the Upper Adriatic, alternative fuels, port electrification and the strategic role of critical raw materials. The panel on critical raw materials will also feature Paolo Bevilacqua, Professor of Raw Materials Engineering at the University of Trieste.

The day will conclude with a networking dinner and round table dedicated to the Port of Monfalcone, reserved for organisers, partners and guests. A guided tour of the Port is also scheduled for 2 October, with advance booking required.
