Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2026

Deadline for applications for the 2026 Call for Universities and Research Institutes: June 30, 2026

Maker Faire Rome 2026 invites universities and research institutes to submit their highly innovative projects to the 2026 Call for Universities and Research Institutes. This Call will reward the most deserving projects from state universities and public research institutes, providing them with visibility and the opportunity to interact with an audience of tens of thousands of visitors.

Organized and promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition - the 14th edition of which will be held from 23 to 25 October 2026 in the iconic Gazometro Ostiense in Rome - is the reference event for innovation in Europe: the ideal place to connect with the innovation community and showcase your excellence on an international stage, interacting with an audience of companies, investors, experts and technology enthusiasts.

Innovation will be a key focus in all its forms: from aerospace to healthcare, from digital manufacturing to IoT, from robotics to Artificial Intelligence, from agritech to education, including Big Data and biohacking.

If you want to raise the profile of your work, foster new connections, and take research beyond the lab, this is the perfect opportunity.

Projects can be submitted online until June 30, 2026, on the Bobuild platform dedicated to exhibitors, available on the Maker Faire Rome website: www.makerfairerome.eu 

The possible participation options are:

· Project exhibition, with the provision of a free, unrestricted space;

· Workshop, an interactive and educational activity, in the “Make Lab – Creiamo Insieme” area (with the possibility of reimbursement, as per the rules);

· Exhibition, in a public and/or virtual space – with creative, technological, robotic, or musical performances;

· Talk: The opportunity to use a slot in a virtual or physical space for presentations on topics related to the event's themes and/or to share one's experience.
