On Monday, June 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., the Stelio Crise State Library, located at Largo Papa Giovanni XXIII 6, Trieste, will open the exhibition "Past Future. Ineluttabile Modalità del Visible". This group exhibition will showcase works by 16 pairs of artists from Gruppo78 and young artists, modeled on the relationship between Stephen Dedalus and Leopold Bloom.

The works, created using various techniques (painting, sculpture, video art, photography, performance), are the result of a month of workshops and are "visual variations" on excerpts from Joyce's "Ulysses."

The exhibition will remain open until July 2, 2026. Admission is free.

The event is part of the 17th edition of #BloomsdayTrieste, which will take place from June 13 to 16, 2026.

The University of Trieste is a partner in the initiative, along with: Liceo Artistico E. e U. Nordio, Hangar Teatri, Collegio del Mondo Unito, Cooperativa sociale 2001, and Associazione Le Ombre.
