Calendar 29 May 2026, Tutto il giorno Testo evento On 29 May 2026, the University of Trieste will host the twelfth edition of ICERNA – International Conversation Euro Regio North Adriatic, at Androna Campo Marzio 10, Sala Atti “Arduino Agnelli”. This year’s conference is devoted to “Rivers, Seas, Energy: Cross-Border Governance of Strategic Resources”.The event is organised by the Chair of Administrative Law of the University of Trieste, by professors Andrea Crismani, Annarita Iacopino and Giacomo Biasutti. The scientific coordination is entrusted to professors Andrea Crismani, Bruna Žuber and Dario Đerđa.Now in its 12th edition, ICERNA has become a consolidated forum for scientific and institutional dialogue among Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. The initiative strengthens the long-standing cooperation among the three universities of the Northern Adriatic area — the University of Trieste, the University of Ljubljana and the University of Rijeka — together with the administrative judiciary of the three countries.The conference will focus on the cross-border governance of strategic resources, with particular attention to water, energy, public interest, infrastructure, environmental protection and the energy transition. The programme will compare Italian, Slovenian and Croatian experiences, following ICERNA’s established method: comparative legal dialogue, institutional perspective and the involvement of early-career scholars.The event will feature contributions from university professors, administrative judges and young researchers from Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, with sessions devoted to the judicial perspective, the academic perspective and emerging research.The initiative confirms the University of Trieste’s role as a scientific and institutional hub in the North Adriatic Euroregional dialogue.The detailed conference program and all other information can be found in the attachment below.
