Pianciamore Study Awards for Excellence in Medicine - 4th Edition - 2026

The Pianciamore Study Awards are promoted and funded by the Pianciamore Foundation – Hazel M. Cole Kindness Award - ETS. This is the fourth edition of a ten-year program, with a total commitment of €100,000, which will be used to recognize excellence in medicine at the University of Trieste. Each year, a call for applications is published for one award in Cardiology, while the second prize alternates between other disciplines: this year, it is Geriatrics.

This year, the prizes, each worth €5,000.00 (five thousand/00) gross, are divided as follows:

- 1 "Cardiology Prize" for the Cardiology discipline (MED 11) or with a thesis in the Cardiovascular field;

- 1 "Other Medical-Surgical Discipline Prize" for the Geriatrics discipline.

The call for applications will close at 1:00 PM on June 18, 2026.
