Science diplomacy has become increasingly important over the past two decades. It describes the intersection between countries’ foreign policy, science policies, and the missions of universities, and concerns both international cooperation in research and education as well as the international projection of universities’ third mission. The University of Trieste boasts numerous experiences in this field and plays an active role in the international arena of science diplomacy.
