From 19 to 22 May 2025, the University of Trieste will host the 13th edition of the International Spring School in Clinical Engineering, titled "Clinical Engineering: Challenges for Digital Health Integration in Europe".

The initiative, part of the Master’s Programme in Higher Education in Clinical Engineering (SSIC‑HECE), will focus on the integration of digital health into European healthcare systems and on the increasingly strategic role of clinical and biomedical engineering. The programme will feature sessions on current topics such as artificial intelligence in healthcare, medical devices, the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR), and approaches for e-Health integration.

The School will welcome students, researchers, and professionals from nine European countries—Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Romania, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, and Slovenia—offering an international environment for training and exchange.

The event is organised by the Biomedical Engineering Group and the HECE Programme at UniTS, with the support of the Central European Initiative (CEI), the International Federation of Medical and Biomedical Engineering (IFMBE), the Italian Association of Clinical Engineers (AIIC), and the Municipality of Trieste.
